NWAS Board of Directors

The Board is accountable for setting the strategic direction of the trust, monitoring performance against local and nationally set objectives, ensuring high standards of performance and promoting links between the service and the local community. The Board holds a monthly public meeting at which members discuss key issues affecting the Trust such as its performance, finances and where they make decisions about service development and operational strategy.

The Board is made up of five Executive and six Non-Executive Directors (including the Chairman) who are all voting members of the Board and they are supported by three non-voting Directors who also attend Board Meetings

Executive Directors take care of the day to day running of the Trust whilst the Non-Executive Directors bring external expertise to the organisation and provide advice and guidance to the Executive Directors.
