What we do
The North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides a 24 hour,
365 days a year emergency service to those people in need of
emergency medical treatment. We also provide a non-emergency
service known as the Patient Transport Service.
NWAS deals with more than one million emergency calls a
year. These are dealt with by the Trust's emergency control
centres across the North West. Our control centres are based
in Manchester, Liverpool and Preston.
