Become a Member
Over 8,300 local
people are backing our bid to become a Foundation
Trust. You can do this too by completing our online
membership form and becoming a member today. The best part is…
it's FREE!
What do members do?
In becoming a member you are supporting us - your local
ambulance service, just like Maxicus, pictured.
When you join, you tell us how involved you want to be.
From simply receiving our magazine 'Lifeline', full of real life patient
stories, health information and features on our staff and our
service, to taking part in surveys, discussion groups and attending
events - the choice is yours!
Those who want to get even more involved can stand for election
in our Council of
Governors. Our Governors will be elected by our Members
and represent your voice to the Board of
Directors.
Why join?
As the largest ambulance service in the country, we cover the
populations of Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside
and Cheshire. We hope that you never have to call upon us,
but if you do, wouldn't you like to be able to say that you have
helped your ambulance service?

a member.
Who can be a member?
Anyone aged 16 and over living in the North West can be a
member. The only exceptions are anyone who has been dismissed from
our employment or has been involved in an incident of violence or
abuse against our staff.
There are two categories of membership - public members and
staff members. An individual can only belong to one category. Every
member will be eligible to elect representatives to our Council of
Governors.
