Become a governor

North West Ambulance Service has started the elections process to find members for our first ever Council of Governors.

The Council of Governors is elected from the Membership and allows local people to influence how their health services are run and developed.

The Council of Governors will be made up of 37 Governors, including the Chairman who is also the Chair of the Board of Directors.  There will be 31 elected seats:

  • 20 Public Governors elected by the public membership; and
  • 11 Staff Governors elected by staff
  • There will also be 5 Appointed Governors

The successful candidates will be announced at the end of January 2013.
