Voluntary Car Service

The Ambulance Service needs you - and your wheels.

If you are a car owner with a clean license and a few hours to spare each week, you could make a valuable contribution to the community and help ease the pressure on the ambulance service.

Most trips are done between 8am and 5pm weekdays, but drivers are sometimes needed for weekend calls.  Fuel costs and additional expenses are refunded, and all volunteers are given training and kept in touch through regular meetings and newsletters.

North West Ambulance Service, which moves nearly 750,000 patients each year currently have over 400 volunteer drivers working across the region.  If you feel that you are able to offer your services and would like further information please get in touch with one of the following representatives who will give you information on future recruitment.
