Secretary of State for Health, Andrew Lansley, is launching the NHS 111 service for Lancashire today. NHS 111 is a non-emergency number for accessing local health services. It is launching in Lancashire as a pilot scheme. Other areas of the North West will have access to the service by April 2013.
