13 November 2014 - Hot Topics Event

North West Ambulance Service is hosting a hot topics event for its members and the general public.

There is no doubt that you will have seen plenty of stories in the news about the challenges faced by the NHS, both now and in the future.  For us, emergency calls are increasing year on year, we have to manage significant financial pressures and continue to deliver high quality services.

There will be an opportunity for you to share your thoughts on these matters and your general view of the service at a ‘hot topics’ forum, a free interactive event, which will takeplace on Thursday 20 November 2014, from 2pm until 4pm, at our offices on Garstang Road in Broughton, Preston, PR3 5LN.

Representatives from the Service will introduce a number of hot topic subjects and attendees will be invited to share their views with members of the Council of Governors who will be present.

Governors are elected by members and part of their role is to reflect the views of members in their discussions with the Board of Directors on the strategic direction of the Trust.  The forum will provide a great opportunity for you as a member to contribute to this debate.

If you would like to book a place, please contact Fiona Bateson, Membership Engagement Officer, by emailing membership@nwas.nhs.uk or calling 0161 279 4815.
