29 October 2015 - Awards Appeal

North West Ambulance Service is appealing to businesses and organisation to sponsor its Staff Awards’ Ceremony in March 2016 to celebrate the unsung heroes that have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

At this year’s event the Trust recognised an emergency call handler who helped save the life of a baby who was choking and suffered a cardiac arrest, a student who defied the odds and passed (with flying colours) the challenging paramedic course despite having dyslexia and a volunteer who dug out snow filled streets to make sure ambulances could get to patients in emergency situations, amongst others.

The Trust hopes to be able to hold another event in March 2016 but need the funds to be able to do so. Given that it is talking about acknowledging some of the bravest individuals within society and that, as NWAS is a publicly funded NHS organisation, limited funds available for this event, NWAS is asking for sponsorship for the event.

All funds raised for this event will go directly towards the event to celebrate the achievements of our workforce. A range of packages are available from full event sponsorship to individual award sponsorship and more.

NWAS' staff awards’ event, also attended by Commissioners, Governors and senior representatives from partner organisations, always attracts attention from local media as the ceremony celebrates the bravery and courage of people who view their actions as part of the job.
