NWAS Launches #Team999 In September, NWAS launched the extension to its recent 'Right Care, Right Time, Right Place' campaign - '#Team999'. NWAS receives around 3,000 calls every day in its Emergency Operations Centres, but not all calls require an ambulance to be dispatched or a trip to hospital; some patients may receive care within the community and others could be given self-care advice over the phone. '#Team999' has been created to highlight the various care pathways available through NWAS and is made up of seven representative members of staff, who ultimately determine which route of care the patient will follow. The initiative aims to educate the public about when it's appropriate to ring the ambulance service, what to expect when they call and ultimately which member of #Team999 is likely to deal with their concern. The campaign will run for six months and will include a variety of activities such as roadshows, live Twitter Q&A sessions and filming of each team member at work - highlighting the reality of what our '#Team999' member is faced with on an average shift.
