Investors in People Gold Award The Trust recently undertook a three week assessment for the Investors in People re-assessment to see if it continues to meet the standards and if so, at what level. This is a national standard and is used to assess private and public sector organisations. The Trust is assessed against 196 elements of business standards. During the assessment period over 200 staff were interviewed and the assessors also carried out a number of unscheduled station visits. We are delighted to confirm that we have retained Gold standard and we remain the only ambulance service to reach that standard. This is a fantastic achievement and benchmarks the Trust against the very best IIP accredited organisations in the country. The assessor also measured the Trust against a separate award for Health and Wellbeing. We are tested against achieving a position where we deliver a strategy to improve the health and well-being of the workforce and we have now been informed that we have also retained this standard. This is a culmination of all the work that goes on in the Human Resources and Learning and Development departments, as well as the ongoing culture change with coaching and general management developments; a core component of our journey from Good to Great.
