NHS Leadership Award for Chief Executive

The Trust is delighted that Chief Executive Bob Williams has won an award which acknowledges leaders at all levels and across all professions who have improved people's health, delivered high quality services or improved experiences of the NHS through their continued hard work and perseverance.

Bob was nominated earlier this year for the NHS Development Champion of the Year at The NHS North West Leadership Recognition Awards 2014 which took place on Wednesday 19 November at the Isla Gladstone Conservatory, in Liverpool.

Michael Forrest, Director of Organisational Development said: “The Trust takes great pride in ensuring that we develop all of our staff to maximise their full potential so they can have rewarding careers within the Trust and placing us in a great position to provide high levels of service to the patients in the North West”.

He added: “Bob as Chief Executive, takes the lead in promoting staff development and is a great role model in leading the learning and development agenda. Many external agencies such as Investors in People have praised the Trusts’ forward thinking and commitment to staff development.  This award is greatly deserved.”

Also commenting on Bob’s award, Chairman Mary Whyham said: “I am very proud and pleased for Bob on winning this prestigious award.  He has made it very clear however, that this is an accolade for the whole organisation as we move forward.”
