Friends & Family Feedback We are supporting an exciting national partnership pilot instigated by NHS England where comments provided to us through Friends and Family Test feedback will be placed onto the NHS Choices website to be viewed by the public. NHS Choices (www.nhs.uk) was launched in 2007 and is the official website of the National Health Service in England. With more than 48 million visitors per month, it is the UK's biggest health website accounting for a quarter of all health-related web traffic. We are the only NHS Trust nationally to take this initiative forward after overcoming a number of technical and process issues to ensure the success of the project. There are some test comments already on the website but the first batch of ‘live’ comments will be transferred to the website. Although we would like the comments to fully represent the range of feedback that we receive, there will be some moderation of the comments by the Patient Experience team which means that any comments that could identify staff or patients will not be transferred. In addition, all patients who provide feedback have to give their consent before the comments can be used on the NHS Choices website. The Patient Experience team also have the ability to respond to the comments that have been made, so although they will be anonymous, we can highlight where service improvements have been made or direct them back into contacting the service so that we can investigate further.
