The new five year contracts for non-emergency patient transport services in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester began on 1 July 2016.  In the lead up to the go live date, a great deal of work was undertaken to ensure the smooth transition of service from Arriva Transport Solutions Ltd, the previous contract holder for Greater Manchester, as well as ensuring stakeholders were fully informed about the changes they can expect.

A new Patient Charter and patient information leaflets have been issued for each county and new booking guidelines have been shared with healthcare professionals.  Downloads of the charter, patient information and guidance for healthcare professionals are available on our website www.nwas.nhs.uk
