Estuary Point We’re investing in a new corporate building for our staff in Cheshire and Merseyside which will also be home to one of emergency operations centres where 999 calls are handled. Estuary Point is a major investment for us and will provide our loyal workforce with a modern and integrated workplace that’s fit for the future. The building in Speke is relatively new, has three floors, and an impressive 3,700sqm of open plan space. It is located on Liverpool International Business Park – a 157 acre site next to Liverpool John Lennon International Airport and the Mersey Estuary. The process of buying the building is now complete – it’s ours. We now have project teams busy sorting out the refurbishment and fit out the building. We hope to achieve full occupancy by mid-2018. As well as replacing the current 999 call centre with a highly resilient, better integrated and technically efficient centre, Estuary Point will help bring teams together. Staff from corporate services and some from patient transport services will benefit from adjoining workspaces, as well as a range of training suites and meeting rooms. The building will also have flexible (agile) space for the travelling corporate workforce, and to deliver in-house operational training when we need to. Our site in Anfield has served the Cheshire and Merseyside communities well over the last three decades, but the sad reality is that we have outgrown the building and it is time for us to move on.
