Estuary Point We’re investing in a new corporate building for our staff in Cheshire and Merseyside which will also be home to one of emergency operations centres where 999 calls are handled. Estuary Point is a major investment for us and will provide our loyal workforce with a modern and integrated workplace that’s fit for the future. The building in Speke is relatively new, has three floors, and an impressive 3,700sqm of open plan space. It is located on Liverpool International Business Park – a 157 acre site next to Liverpool John Lennon International Airport and the Mersey Estuary. The process of buying the building is now complete – it’s ours. We now have project teams busy sorting out the refurbishment and fit out the building. We hope to achieve full occupancy by mid-2018.Our site in Anfield has served the Cheshire and Merseyside communities well over the last three decades, but the sad reality is that we have outgrown the building and it is time for us to move on. Estuary Point will be the brand new headquarters for the Cheshire and Merseyside area, housing Emergency Operations Centre, Urgent Care, NWAS 111 and Patient Transport Control. In addition, it will provide accommodation for all the support services that we see every day in Elm House and also on the Lower Breck Road site, including the secretariat, ICT, HR and training Health and Safety, risk and patient experience. The building will also have flexible space for the travelling corporate workforce, and to deliver in-house operational training when we need to. While it is a major change for us all, it is also an opportunity. We have built in future-proofing to ensure Estuary Point will provide the very best accommodation for many years to come.
