We have refreshed our strategy to help us achieve our aim of becoming the best ambulance service in the UK. The strategy, vision and values are explained below.

Our strategy reflects the significant challenges we face in terms of performance, finance and quality. We aim to be the best ambulance service in the UK, by providing the right care at the right time in the right place time.

Our vision is to take clinical decisions as far forward in the patient journey as possible to ensure no patient is needlessly waiting.

Our values form the foundation of our whole organisation, making sure we lead by example. The values create the right culture and ensure our patients receive safe care every time.

The five key principles that support our approach use the patient journey as a vehicle for transformation, and they are:
