Urgent Care Vehicle Replacement Programme 2014/15

Following consideration of the Executive Management Team and Finance Investment Committee, the Board of Directors has approved the Urgent Care Vehicle Replacement Programme for 2014-15 The Urgent Care Vehicle specification will be based on a van derived vehicle which meets operational needs and has the advantage of a dual purpose role dependent upon the staff skill mix available. This dual purpose role means that all new replacement vehicles will have 'blue light 999' responding capability as well as the urgent care provision, thereby providing further resilience into the Paramedic Emergency Service fleet.

There are currently 15 vehicles due for replacement in the financial year 2014/15. The replacement cost of these vehicles is as follows:

  • 2014/15 Capital Spend Urgent Care Service (UCS) Ambulances £1,185k
