Cardiac Smart Awards

The Cardiac Smart Awards were held on Friday 2 December 2016 at the Castle Green hotel, in Kendal.  The Team awarded six schools, eight CFR teams and 17 organisations from across the North West with Bronze, Silver and Gold cardiac smart awards.

Also at the event were 51 lifesavers with 16 different life staving stories. 20 volunteers from the different areas were also given awards. These were thank you awards from the Community Resuscitation Team (CRT) to our volunteers that help us in our respective areas.

At the awards ceremony, the CR Team received a surprise from the BBC, who wanted to give three of our award winners the North West Christmas Star Award for all their CFR work. It also included survivor Chris Ennis who has increased awareness since surviving a cardiac arrest.
