Data Protection Impact Assessments

In order to inform our patients and staff about new and changes to existing information processing the Trust completes Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA). This helps to assess privacy risks to individuals and identifies the legal basis for the collection, use and disclosure of information, known as processing.

All new projects, initiatives and processes that involve using or sharing personal information will have a Data Protection Impact Assessment during the initial stages and prior to any procurement decision being made. All Data Protection Impact Assessments when completed will be submitted to the Data Protection Officer for review and the Executive Management Team for approval.

The below document is available as a record of this activity to provide assurance to individuals whose information NWAS process.
