
Our NHS 111 clinical advisors are responsible for the assessment of the health and clinical needs of patients who call 111, utilising their clinical judgment to provide advice, signpost to appropriate care and treatment or to escalate to 999 services, supported by decision support software.
As someone who has direct contact with NHS 111 patients, you will use your skills to assess and deliver care to patients in a contact centre, providing health information, guidance on the appropriate level of care and advice on how to manage symptoms at home.
You must be able to work effectively in a team and have a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Candidates will need to be either a registered nurse or paramedic with a minimum of two years post-registration clinical experience preferably in a primary or acute care setting, emergency department or pre-hospital role.
Full training for the role will be given, which is full-time for between four to eight weeks.
