
We are committed to the Armed Forces Covenant and being a Gold member of the Employer Recognition Scheme are proud to offer invitations to guaranteed interviews (initial assessments) for all veterans and those currently working in the reserve and cadet forces, as long as candidates meet the minimum essential criteria. This will be for people looking to join the trust or for those already working for us and are moving internally.
The scheme does not offer a guaranteed job as selection procedures will ensure that the best candidate for the job is appointed, based on the criteria of the role.
Veterans can find making the transition to civilian life extremely challenging, particularly in finding and securing lasting employment and this scheme aims to assist veterans in overcoming barriers to finding civilian employment. The scheme will also support reservists and cadet force adult volunteers who struggle to find employment because of fears they will need extra time off for commitments such as training or camps.
Veterans and those serving in the Reserve and Cadet Forces bring valuable transferable skills and qualities including communication and organisational skills; decision-making, problem solving and adaptability; leadership and management skills; team working skills; and ability to operate under pressure.
