NWAS call handler and mum-of-two Laura Balderson underwent cryotherapy - a treatment using extreme cold to destroy precancerous cells - after a routine smear test detected abnormal cells. According to Cancer Research, 99.8% of cervical cancer cases are preventable, and, Laura shares her story to highlight the life-saving importance of regular cervical screenings.
