2019 marks the twentieth year of community first responders in the North West. To recognise the contribution you have made to the lives of people in the local community over the past two decades, we are hosting a free celebratory event for existing responders on 12 October 2019 at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal.
Conference 12pm – 4.30pm
The first part of the event will be an educational conference where we will examine the history of CFRs and look at the difference you have made to local people and the NHS throughout the years. We will also hear from NWAS representatives about the future of the ambulance service and the role of CFRs, and we will welcome national bodies to report on research and policy. There will also be opportunities to network and explore an exhibition zone. A more detailed itinerary will be shared with registered attendees nearer the time.
Celebration 7pm – late
The second part of the event will give you the chance to let your hair down with fellow responders at a black and white ball where dinner will be served and we’ll dance until late! Awards will be given out for long service and to ‘remarkable responders’ from across the North West.
Who’s it for?
The event is specifically for existing community first responders with North West Ambulance Service. You are welcome to attend either or both parts of the day. Both parts of the day are cost free!
