New for this year was the Inspirational Role Model Award that was won by Martyn Hickey, Urgent Care Practitioner.

The award is for mentors who support and nurture others to develop and achieve their potential, embodying our core values and instilling them in others. Martyn was nominated by Jason Comber, Senior Lecturer – Paramedic Science at Liverpool John Moore’s University. He said, “His approach to the teaching, learning and nurturing of our students has been impressive, both in coming into LJMU and teaching our students during these practical sessions and being a practice educator for student paramedics whilst on operational practice placements. He works with energy, enthusiasm and makes learning a joy for our students.”
