At the end of last month, two defibrillator cabinets were broken into, and the devices were stolen; both thefts were just days apart.
We ask that if anyone has any information on the crimes and can aid in their return to get in touch with the police.
A member of the public noticed the first theft on the evening of 21st January at Windmill Hill Children’s Centre on Norton Hill. The box on the wall had been prized open, and the defib had been taken.
Four days later, on the 25th January, another person spotted that someone had broken into the box at Preston Brook Village Hall.
Local Community Resuscitation Manager Rob Hussey says, “Stealing life-saving defibrillators is a very foolish act that will deprive communities of life-saving equipment provided for them which could ultimately lead to loss of life.”
Cheshire Police continue to investigate, although they are yet to make any arrests.
You can report information by calling 101, quoting IML 1186851 for the Windmill Hill incident or IML 1183608 for the Preston Brook Village Hall theft.
