People trekking up a hill in the dark

Walk under the shimmering moonlight as you ascend the majestic Helvellyn, one of the Lake District’s most iconic peaks. This trek promises to be not only a physical challenge but you’ll also see breath-taking beauty, all under the guidance of expert mountain leaders from our event providers at Overlimits.

Arrival will be at 4.45pm for the safety briefing, before you’ll set off on the trek by 5pm. The trek is usually completed within 5 hours and your finish time will depend on your group’s fitness level, weather and any incidents or first aid administered. The usual finishing time is approx.10pm.

We have partnered with Overlimits on this event who manage the trek from start to finish. They use trained mountain leaders and experienced volunteers to support everyone on their treks.

Once you’re registered you will receive a full information pack with everything from timings confirmation to what to expect, what to bring and advice and guidance for your preparations.

If you have any questions about this exciting new event for the North West Ambulance Charity please contact the Charity Team via email: [email protected]

Minimum age: 16 years plus. Consent from a parent or guardian will be required for under 18’s. Terms and conditions will apply.
