Another win for our Education Team

Posted 22nd June 2022

Our Education Team attended the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Health and Care Apprenticeship Awards, where they came away with an award win and two highly commended accolades.

Over 250 people from NHS and healthcare organisations in the Lancashire and South Cumbria footprint were nominated and out of all those nominations we won Employer of the Year for our work with apprenticeships.

Jane Boyle, Apprentice Emergency Medical Technician 1, was Highly Commended in the perseverance category and Kevin Henshall, Apprentice Paramedic, was Highly Commended in the Equality and Diversity category. Leanne Cartwright, Apprentice EMT1, sadly did not win an award on the evening, however, she was nominated and shortlisted in the rising star category.

Paula Davies, Head of Education, said “For the second time in as many weeks, our Education Team has been recognised for the knowledge, skill and dedication it gives to our apprentices. It was a great night for all. The apprentices were able to bring their families to the event and enjoy their successes together.”
