The event was held on Sunday 29 June with the team consisting of NWAS operational and corporate staff, community first responders and members of the public.
In the run up, participants had been working hard to raise funds and sponsorships, including by holding bake sales, raffles, dress down days, and more.
NW Ambulance Charity Fundraising Manager Roya Armstrong, who also took part, said: “Thank you NWAS abseil heroes! This is a truly wonderful total and we are so thankful to each and every one of our amazing team. Each member took part for their own personal reasons, as well as one great collective mission to raise funds in support of our cause.
“This was the first time we’ve had places at this abseil event, and we think you’ll agree that all 13 members did themselves and us very proud. All funds raised will go to enhancing the work of NWAS, with additional funds to support the staff, volunteers, patients and communities across the region.
“From all of us here at the charity and on behalf of the patients, volunteers and staff of NWAS, thank you. You are all incredible.”
