The Greater Manchester Area long service awards ceremony celebrated over 1700 combined years of service! It is the first of three long service events taking place this year and was hosted by Dan Smith, Interim Head of Service, who was joined by Chair Peter White and CEO Daren Mochrie to present awards and thank award recipients for their service.
Judith Bromley, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester attended to present The Ambulance Service (Emergency Duties) Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on behalf of The Queen to PES staff with qualifying service.
A new commemorative coin for 20 years in the NHS was a welcome addition for PTS, 111, EOC and corporate staff, as well as those in emergency roles. The coin was introduced based on feedback from staff as part of a long service awards review earlier this year, along with gift vouchers for those with 30 years plus years in the NHS.
Dan said: “Congratulations to all award recipients and a huge thanks for your contribution over the years. I also extend my thanks to your families for their support.”
