The award was presented in recognition of our support for the forum at its 25th anniversary celebration.
The NFHW hosts large-scale health melas across Lancashire each year, which are open to members of the public seeking information and advice from a range of NHS stakeholder stalls, including nutrition guidance and cancer support. Free health checks are also available on the day.
To mark their 25th anniversary milestone, a special health mela was held in Preston on Saturday, 11 March, with celebrations and awards presented.
We were delighted to receive a fellowship award in recognition of our long-standing commitment and continued support through attending these health melas. Since the outset, we have supported these events by sharing helpful information about the ambulance service and delivering CPR demonstrations.
The award was presented by the NFHW Chairman, Professor Romesh Gupta OBE, and accepted by the Community Resuscitation Engagement Officer, Yvette Browne, on behalf of the trust.
