What is it?

Our Ambulance Community Day is an event for the public to come along to and find out more about the ambulance service. Meet staff from our 999, NHS 111 and patient transport services, hazard area response team, NWAS charity, HR and recruitment team and much more. Just a few of the things you can expect from this event:

  • Finding out about all the different careers within the ambulance service and entry requirements needed.
  • Guidance on how you can start your career with us.
  • Meeting local paramedics, call handlers and ambulance care assistants and learn about how your ambulance service works.
  • Exploring our ambulance vehicle display.
  • Finding out about our volunteer roles to boost your CV.
  • Learning how to do CPR with our community resuscitation team.
  • Taking part in first aid demonstrations.
  • Browsing NHS, other emergency services, and other local partner stands.
  • Enjoying free refreshments.

It’s a free, fun day for everybody, and what’s more, you can learn to save a life!

If you would like to find out how we performed in 2023/24, our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place at the same venue on the same day.
