At the event, residents will not just listen but also actively participate in interactive talks about careers, lifesaving skills, and our services. The event is free and will allow them to engage with us and learn first-hand about our work.
Head of Communications and Engagement Julie Treharne says, “We are always excited to meet the public, and over the last 18 months, we’ve held a series of successful events. We return to Cheshire to focus our information on career opportunities that we have available not only in our 999 emergency services but also in the non-emergency NHS 111 service or corporate and support services.
“While the event is tailored to young people , there are elements of the day that everyone will find interesting, so everyone is welcome to come along. It’s free to attend, and lunch is also included, so we would love to see as many people as possible.
“It’s vital that we hear from the communities we serve and give them a clearer vision of how we work and what opportunities we provide for them to work with us. We also need to understand what their expectations of us are and their concerns.”
At the event, there will be:
- Information about the various rewarding careers and volunteering opportunities making a difference in the community.
- Basic life-saving skills session and summer safety tips
- Opportunities to meet and ask questions of the paramedics working in the local area.
- Interactive activities and stands about the ambulance service
- Free lunch
