Last week, we held one of our ambulance awareness day events in Kendal, Cumbria, as part of a series of ‘events we are hosting across the North West.
We were joined by over 60 people, including students from local colleges and schools in the area, local organisations, and members of the public.
They enjoyed quick lightning talks about our services given by local staff, got involved in interactive activities, learned CPR, and received guidance and information on how to start a career with us across our 300 roles. They also enjoyed a free buffet lunch and refreshments.
Our events for this year have been formatted following feedback from attendees at our previous events last year who asked for us to cater to a younger audience. We tailored this event for young people to allow them to learn more about the ambulance service with the services we provide, careers, and learn lifesaving skills.
So far, we have held events in Cheshire and Greater Manchester, and we’ll hold our final events for 2024/25 in Lancashire and Merseyside in early 2025.
If you are a student or are interested in the ambulance service and would like to attend one of our events, follow our socials for updates.
