The Bake Off is designed to support wellbeing across our teams by bringing creativity, community and a bit of friendly competition to the workplace. This year’s entries included cookie monster cakes, opera cake and blondies, with staff making their creations at home before bringing them in to share with colleagues.
But it was Emma Dawber, ROCC Duty Manager, who took the top spot with her creation, Absolute Liability Cake.
The entries were judged by fellow colleagues, with the difficult task falling to Jenny Wood, ICC Director; Luke Marriner, ICC Deputy Director; Andrew Wood, Senior Project Lead; Sally Rose, ICC Director; and Ryan Moore, Contact Centre Educator.
ICC Director Jenny Wood says; “Judging the ICC Bake off was the highlight of my day. Everyone put so much effort in, the cakes looked and tasted fantastic. Thank you to all those who entered. Congratulations to the winner, definitely worthy of a Paul Hollywood handshake.”
ICC Service Development and Business Support Manager Joshua Zimmer says; “A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped organise the Bake Off, including Matt Beardwell and Emma Ball. It’s great to see colleagues getting together, having some fun and doing something a little different. Activities like this can make a real difference to staff wellbeing.”
Our ICC teams are the first point of contact for most patients contacting the ambulance service, handling 999, 111 and patient transport service calls.
