TIDE is a benchmarking tool that has been developed to assess organisational performance and progress in relation to diversity and inclusion. It measures organisations against eight different areas of diversity and inclusion practice.
We have been listed as one of only 15 Gold Standard winners out of 171 global entries, from across 26 different sectors. The trust achieved an overall score of 95% and listed as the 2nd highest ranked organisation out of all entries globally.
The award was presented virtually at an online celebration event held by ENEI, with Usman Nawaz, Head of Inclusion & Engagement and Wasim Mir, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisor representing the organisation.
Chief Executive Officer, Daren Mochrie said: “Achieving the TIDE Gold Standard for two years in a row is an amazing feat, especially given the global competition we were up against. This accolade shows that we have the right focus on equality, diversity and inclusion in NWAS, and we’ll continue to ensure that these agendas underpin our work and values.”
Lisa Ward, Director of People added: “This award is a great testament to the work we’ve undertaken over the last year to make our organisation more inclusive, and I am extremely proud that our efforts have been recognised in the way.
“As a trust we recognise that whilst this achievement helps to demonstrate progress, there is still a lot more work to do. We will continue to strive to improve the experiences of all our staff, and ensure we have the most equitable and inclusive processes.”
