Megan was nominated by several colleagues for the ‘Caring for the Community’ category, for her work to improve community resuscitation across Cumbria.
This has seen her support the:
- Reinstatement of over 400 community defibrillators,
- Installation of 49 new Community Public Accessible Defibrillators (CPADs) in hot spot or poorly covered locations,
- NWAS Charity fundraising of over £25,000 to pay for these defibrillators,
- Delivery of CPR awareness sessions to over 6,000 people across the county.
She said:“I’m very proud to be nominated for this award and recognised for the work we’ve carried out across Cumbria.
“Thank you to everyone who has helped me with the many localised projects, specifically those in the communities themselves who have been a key link to help improve cardiac arrest outcomes in their community.”
Good luck for June Megan at the Pride of Cumbria Awards.
