More than 1,000 volunteers support us in a wide range of roles, helping us make a difference every day. Whether responding to emergencies, supporting patients, helping shape our services or looking after the wellbeing of our staff, your contribution is invaluable.

Our volunteers include:

• Community first responders and extended community first responders supporting our paramedic emergency service.

• BASICS medical responders who can respond alongside NWAS colleagues.

• Staff responders who volunteer their time outside of work.

• Volunteer car drivers who help patients get to and from routine appointments, supporting our patient transport service.

• Members of our Patient and Public Panel, who help us improve and shape our services.

• Volunteer chaplains who provide emotional, social and mental health support to our staff.

• Charity champions who help raise awareness and vital funds for North West Ambulance Charity.
