We’re looking for young artists to create our official Christmas card!

Posted 27th October 2025

We're looking for young artists to help create our Christmas Card for 2025.

We’re excited to launch our children’s Christmas card competition!

We’re calling on budding young artists, up to the age of 11 years old across the North West to let their imaginations shine and create our official Christmas card for 2025.

The competition closes on Sunday 23 November. After that, we’ll choose one special winning design to become our official Christmas card, which will be sent to all our stakeholders.

Not only that, but the winning design will also be shared across our social media channels, with over 180,000 followers, giving everyone the chance to see their masterpiece. Plus, the winner will receive a £20 book voucher along with some ambulance service goodies.

What are we looking for?

Of course, we couldn’t let you enter without a few fun guidelines! We’re looking for:

  • A portrait design (tall, not wide)
  • Something bright, cheerful, and festive
  • Something that captures the Christmas spirit while celebrating the incredible staff across all our services.

We’d love your designs to show the whole of our team NWAS and the amazing people who keep our communities safe and cared for at Christmas and all year. That means including:

  • Our 999 emergency crews who respond when people need urgent help.
  • Our 999 call handlers, dispatchers of ambulance vehicles, clinical staff on the phones helping people.
  • The 111 service staff who give advice and support over the phone.
  • Our patient transport service (PTS) staffwho make sure people get safely to and from their appointments.
  • The mechanics who keep our vehicles on the road.
  • Corporate staff, such as those who work in our IT and Finance teams.
  • Our amazing volunteers, such as Community First Responders or Volunteer Car Drivers who also help to care for patients in their local areas.
  • Any other part of our ambulance service that inspires you!

Our website and Ambulance Academy may give you inspiration.

Submitting your design

Some pointers for the grown-ups:

Children can be as creative as they like with their submission, but they may need your help!

To enter, send us an email of their design, along with their first name, age and the area they live to [email protected] or you can post it direct to us at:

NWAS Communications Team, Ladybridge Hall, Chorley New Road, Bolton. BL1 5DD.

If you can, please also send us a photo or alternatively a quick film clip of your child showing off their creation. Please note, that the picture or film clip will be used on our social media channels and website, so please only send in the design if you are comfortable and consent to this.

Entries will close on Friday 21 November.
