Statement of Responsibilities
This document explains the division of responsibilities for the Chair, Chief Executive, Senior Independent Director, the Board and its committees.
Standing Orders, Reservation of Powers and Scheme of Delegation
Our core governance documents provide details on how the trust is managed and governed. All NHS trusts are required by law to have standing orders as they regulate how the Board of Directors operates and how the trust is governed. The Reservations of Powers to the Board details the decisions that are reserved for the Board of Directors. The Scheme of Delegation details the levels of delegation the Board provides to employees and committees. These document have been consolidated to provide a single source of the key rules under which the trust is managed and governed.
Risk management policy
The main objective of this policy is to establish the foundations for a culture of effective risk management throughout the organisation. It sets out clear definitions, responsibilities, and process requirements to enable the principles and techniques of risk management to be applied consistently throughout the organisation.
Volunteer policy
The volunteer policy sets out the general principles and guidance for volunteering and volunteer schemes.
Learning from deaths
The learning from deaths policy sets out the practices we use to review and learn from the deaths of patients under our care, so we can protect future patients from avoidable harm.
