Playing sports can be a great way of seeing your friends, making new friends and having loads of fun outdoors. Just remember the following top tips to keep safe and avoid any nasty injuries:
- Always wear the proper kit for the sport you are playing, especially if is there to protect you, such as helmets, shin pads, boots and shoes
- Learn the rules of the game
- Don’t push yourself too hard
- Check for hazards before starting to play
- Warm up and cool down by doing some gentle exercises and stretches
- If you get injured, report it straight away and get medical help if you need it
