Which ambulance career is for you?

Working for the ambulance service isn’t just driving on blue lights and saving people’s lives.

With more than 300 different job roles, a career here at NWAS could see you writing press statements, taking patients to healthcare appointments, answering NHS 111 calls, planning resources, developing applications, delivering projects, or of course, helping patients most in need.

Finding the right role for you might not be easy (and unfortunately we don’t have all the answers) but with our quick quiz you might just get an idea of the type of ambulance career path that would suit you.

How do you feel about uniforms?
How squeamish are you?
Finish this sentence: I can get through a night shift if…
What sentence best describes you?
What does your ideal working day look like?
To what extent do you like working with patients?
What’s your ideal work location?
