We get children calling 999 for medical help, usually when a member of their family has suddenly taken ill. Each time it amazes us how calm and how well they carry out the instructions given to them by call handlers while they wait for help to arrive. We’ve had children as young as four ring us up, handling an emergency situation like a pro.
We think these children deserve some praise with our Junior Lifesaver Award – a bravery certificate which recognises the huge part they played in getting help and saving a life.
If you know a child who has dialled 999 for an ambulance and has potentially saved a life, let us know by filling out the form below with the details, including your name and contact number.
