Many defibrillators are never used because emergency services don’t know where they are or how to access them. This is where The Circuit comes in, a system that is managed by the British Heart Foundation.
We have approximately 6,000 defibrillators currently registered on our 999 computer system. To enable these to be registered on The Circuit, each guardian will be contacted by telephone or email to provide permission for their defibrillator to be recorded on the system.
All data protection governance has been assured.
