Outrun an Ambulance – Anytime event!
Could you conquer the mileage an emergency ambulance covers in one shift? Outrun an Ambulance is a virtual challenge inviting people to go the extra mile and ‘outrun’ the mileage covered by an ambulance on an average shift responding to emergencies. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to do it in 12 hours! You can choose your method, mileage and time frame for this fun and inclusive event. Everyone who completes their challenge will get a certificate; those who raise £100 or more will also receive a medal.
All funds raised from these events will be used to support our staff and volunteers’ health and wellbeing and to save lives by providing funding for community defibrillators and training.
National Superhero Day
Will you unleash your inner superhero on National Superhero Day 28th April by signing up and getting involved to support your local ambulance charity?
Our mission as a charity is to support staff and volunteers to save lives and we want you to join us do just that. Be our Superhero and make a difference to thousands of people across the North West.
What is National Superhero Day?
This day has been celebrated since 1995 to recognise and appreciate all the heroic acts of kindness that people around us do every day. As for real-life superheroes, National Superhero Day also recognises those who we look up to every day. No matter if they wear masks, capes, scrubs, or uniforms, everyone has someone they think of as a superhero. This national day began and grew so that everyone’s role models could get a well-deserved shout-out for whatever hard work they do.

We want YOU to be our SUPERHERO! Could your school or youth group, your friends, family or workplace take part in National Superhero Day and make a huge difference to your local ambulance charity?
We are asking everyone to hold a Superhero Fancy Dress day anytime between Friday 26th April and Sunday 28th April where everyone brings in £1.00 (or whatever they can give) to donate to our cause.
