Each year we have a variety of different events and challenges you can get involved in to support the North West Ambulance Charity!
There is something for everyone, but if you have your own idea for a fundraising event, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and we’ll be able to support you with your event.

By registering to join Team North West Ambulance Charity in a third-party organised event, you understand and agree to the terms and conditions below:
- You agree to pay a non-refundable registration fee to secure your entry into the event. This fee does not contribute towards your sponsorship pledge.
- You are medically and physically fit and understand that you take part in this event at your own risk. North West Ambulance Charity will not be held responsible for any injury or illness related to your training or taking part in this event. It is each NWAS Charity Participant’s own responsibility to assess their fitness and to ensure that they participate only if sufficiently fit. Should any medical or physical condition arise prior to the Event which is likely to affect a NWAS Charity Participant’s ability to compete in the Event, the NWAS Charity Participant should withdraw from the Event.
- You are on or above the minimum age stipulated by the Event Organiser.
- You pledge to meet your sponsorship pledge and to speak with a member of the Events Team if at any point you feel that you need additional fundraising support. NWAS Charity will email you to share event information, training tips, and advice to support you to reach your sponsorship pledge. If there are doubts as to whether you will be able to raise the pledged sponsorship, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer help and guidance.
- If you are fundraising as part of a team, you may use the same fundraising page, but the sponsorship pledge will be per person.
- It can take 8-10 weeks for a Gift Aid claim to be processed and for NWAS Charity to receive the money from HMRC. For this reason, you understand that Gift Aid won’t count towards your sponsorship pledge. However, it ensures that the charity can claim an additional 25% of all eligible donations from the government. Please let us know if you would like to find out more about Gift Aid.
- We will use your email address to contact you with important event information and to support you as you prepare for your event.
- If you supply your telephone number we may text you from time to time with important event information and/or use it to contact you about your application.
- NWAS Charity may use your postal address to send you an information pack and a running top or t-shirt, if applicable.
- You agree to only use lawful means to fundraise and not to do anything that is likely to harm NWAS Charity’s reputation.
- If you need to withdraw from an event before the registration deadline and wish to defer your place, please notify the NWAS Charity Team via [email protected] immediately. If the event organiser’s policy allows, you may roll your place over to the same event the following year, subject to availability. Any money you have raised can also be rolled over to your future minimum sponsorship pledge, but you may need to pay a registration fee for the following year’s event. Please be aware the cost of the fee may increase, and you will be obliged to pay the updated fee cost. Please Note: Deferrals are at the sole discretion of NWAS Charity and the NWAS Charity reserves the right to refuse a deferral.
- Participation in the event is specific to each NWAS Charity Participant. NWAS Charity participants are strictly prohibited from swapping, selling or transferring their place in the event to another person or allowing any other person to participate in their place.
- NWAS Charity would like to use photographs, motion pictures, quotes, or any other record of your participation in the event for the purpose of marketing future events online and on print materials. If you would prefer to opt out of your data being used in this way, please email [email protected].
- You understand that the event you are registering for is not organised by NWAS Charity, but by a third party (“Event Organiser”). Please read any terms and conditions issued by the Event Organisers and ensure you comply with these.
- You understand that NWAS Charity may need to share your name and email address with the event organiser and where necessary, with other third parties involved in the administration of the event. You may be required to complete an additional registration form for the third-party event organiser so they can confirm your entry into the event. You agree that it is your responsibility to ensure this form is completed by the given deadline. You understand that if it is not completed your event entry may be withdrawn. We will make reasonable efforts to make you aware if this is applicable to your entry and what the deadline for completion is.
- We invest in a limited number of charity places in our events and each place is important to making sure we raise as much as possible to support our work. Because of this, NWAS Charity reserves the right to reallocate your place to someone on our waiting list as needed.
To comply with these and any further rules and requirements about fundraising, which NWAS Charity notify:
- Your actions will not incur NWAS Charity any cost, claim, loss, or liability. You recognise that when you’re fundraising for NWAS Charity, your actions will be linked to NWAS Charity and our cause. You will not do anything to bring NWAS Charity’s name into disrepute.
- We may refuse entry, remove or exclude or cancel your place in the event if we consider that your participation in the event will bring the event, the Event Organiser or Samaritans into disrepute or otherwise damage the reputation of NWAS Charity, the Event or the Event Organiser.
- You will take responsibility for the safekeeping of money raised in the NWAS Charity’s name, until it is transferred to the NWAS Charity.
- You will conduct your fundraising in a respectful and positive manner and not in a way that could be seen as intrusive.
- To only use NWAS Charity’s materials and logos for the purposes of your fundraising activity.
- You will pay NWAS Charity all monies raised and return any fundraising materials within 4 weeks of your event date.
