Sometimes we need extra help to get to the hospital, but it isn’t an emergency, and we don’t need to call for an ambulance.
Our patient transport service (PTS) is a non-emergency service for people who need special support getting to and from their healthcare appointments.
This service is provided to patients in Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, and Merseyside.
If someone in your family has a specific medical condition or reduced mobility, they could be entitled to support from our transport service.
- If you have a family member eligible for patient transport, their booking will be taken immediately, they will be given a unique number which they need to keep safe if they need to contact us
- We can arrange for a transport booking reminder to be sent three days prior to their appointment.
Don’t worry, if a member of your family isn’t eligible for the service, we’ll let you know about alternative transport methods. If you or your family needs to know more we have a dedicated section on our website all about the patient transport service.
